Job summary

AAA Club Alliance in Cincinnati is seeking a Fleet Repair Technician B to join our team on a Monday–Friday schedule with potential weekend work. The role involves preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on fleet vehicles, including diesel and gasoline engines, with opportunities for overtime incentives.

You should have at least 3 years of automotive repair experience, ASE A4/A5/A6 certifications, EPA 609, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of applicable experience as an Automotive Technician strongly preferred.
  • ASE certifications in A4, A5 and A6; preferred State Safety Inspection and enhanced Emissions license.
  • EPA Section 609 Air Conditioning Certification.
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and maintain the certificate.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record.
  • Satisfactory employment screening results.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on fleet vehicles and equipment, including passenger vehicles and light- and medium-duty trucks.
  • Independently diagnose and repair gasoline and diesel engines, transmissions, steering and suspension, brakes, HVAC, electrical systems.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors for specialized repairs and warranty work.
  • Document inspections, diagnostics, repairs, labor hours, and parts in the fleet system.
  • Maintain a safe, clean work environment and comply with safety regulations.

We offer our Associates: Pay range of $23.46/Hour to $32.95/Hour. The base pay range shown is a guideline for compensation and ultimate salary offered will be based on factors such as applicant experience and geographic location.

The Fleet Vehicle Mechanic is responsible for:
  • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on fleet-owned vehicles and equipment, including passenger vehicles and light- and medium-duty trucks.
  • Independently diagnose and repair gasoline and diesel engines, transmissions, steering and suspension systems, brake systems, HVAC systems, electrical systems, and engine performance components.
  • Prioritize, schedule, and complete assigned work with minimal supervision to maximize vehicle reliability, safety, and fleet availability.
  • Conduct thorough inspections to identify maintenance requirements, safety deficiencies, and emerging equipment issues, recommending appropriate corrective actions.
  • Perform functional testing, operational checks, and road tests to verify repairs have been properly completed and vehicles are safe for service.
  • Accurately document inspections, diagnostics, repairs, labor hours, and parts consumption within the electronic fleet maintenance management system.
  • Manage assigned inventory items, research repair parts, and coordinate procurement of materials necessary to complete repairs efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors for specialized repairs, warranty work, inspections, and contracted services, monitoring progress and verifying quality of completed work.
  • Utilize technical manuals, service information systems, wiring diagrams, technical service bulletins, and other resources to support troubleshooting and repair activities.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while complying with all applicable safety regulations, department policies, and industry best practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What you will need to succeed
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of applicable experience as an Automotive Technician strongly preferred.
  • ASE certifications in A4 (Suspension and Steering), A5 (Brakes), and A6 (Electrical/Electronic Systems); Preferred State Safety Inspection License and enhanced Emissions license is desirable.
  • EPA Section 609 Air Conditioning Certification.
  • Ability to pass a physical examination required by the Department of Transportation and must obtain and maintain the certificate for the duration of employment in the position.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record.
  • Satisfactory employment screening results.
