Job summary

U-Haul is hiring a Preventive Maintenance Technician in Warwick, RI to service and repair fleet vehicles. You will secure trucks on lifts and ramps, perform oil changes, lubricate suspensions, replace minor parts and conduct tire and brake maintenance.

This role requires basic mechanical aptitude, a valid driver’s license, teamwork, basic computer skills and regular attendance. You may be required to use protective gear and to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Basic mechanical aptitude and repair experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Secure trucks on lifts and ramps.
• Lubricate suspensions, perform oil changes and replace minor parts.
• Perform tire and brake maintenance.
• Occasionally road-test vehicles.
• Use a proprietary electronic pre-inspection checklist.
• Lend assistance in additional areas as directed by supervisor.
