Job summary

U-Haul in Manchester, NH is seeking a preventive maintenance technician to service the latest fleet of Ford and GMC trucks, perform oil changes, brake and tire work, and help keep customers moving. The role offers on-site work, training through our Technician Training Program, and opportunities for growth.

Ideal candidates have basic mechanical aptitude, a valid driver’s license, teamwork and basic computer skills, and the ability to lift 50 lbs and work safely in a shop environment.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical aptitude and repair experience preferred.
• Driver’s license.
• The ability to work as part of a team as well as individually.
• Basic mechanical aptitude.
• Basic computer skills.
• Regular attendance.

Responsibilities

• Secure trucks on lifts and ramps.
• Lubricate suspensions, perform oil changes and replace minor parts.
• Perform tire and brake maintenance.
• Occasionally road-test vehicles
• Use a proprietary electronic pre‑inspection checklist.
