Job summary

CAE is seeking a Savannah-based Fleet Planner to manage daily client training schedules, coordinate instructor resources, and ensure compliance with NAA and CAE requirements. You will work with Training Managers to align programs, catalogs, and bookings across locations.

Travel for initial training to NJ or Dallas may be required. Strong organization, communication, and regulatory knowledge are essential for success in this role at CAE’s Savannah Training Center.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of aviation industry experience or related scheduling/planning environment.
  • Experience coordinating schedules, resources, or training activities in a regulated environment.
  • Ability to interpret and apply regulations, policies, and procedural requirements.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to changing business demands.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills across functions and locations.
  • Experience using scheduling, planning, or business systems.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Willingness to travel out of state for initial training.
  • Availability to work a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute daily client training schedules for assigned aircraft platforms.
  • Coordinate instructor training activities, including booking, authorization tracking, qualification tracking, and resource allocation.
  • Partner with Training Managers to ensure training requirements and course programs are aligned with operational needs.
  • Support development and maintenance of course catalogs and ensure courses are entered into scheduling systems.
  • Allocate instructor, simulator, and training resources to balance client needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify scheduling challenges and develop alternative solutions to support delivery and satisfaction.
  • Monitor regulatory requirements and ensure schedules comply with NAA regulations and CAE requirements.
  • Serve as owner of the regulatory conflict resolution process related to training scheduling.
  • Adapt schedules and resources to changing priorities, requests, cancellations, and absences.
  • Communicate with Training Managers, Sales, Customer Service, and Fleet Planning teams on needs.
  • Identify opportunities to improve schedule utilization and efficiency while supporting revenue retention.
  • Work independently at Savannah while collaborating with Fleet Planning teams at other locations.
  • Occasionally cover Client Services Representative responsibilities, including front desk support.
  • Attend initial training at other CAE locations, potentially traveling to New Jersey or Dallas for several weeks.

Description

CAE is seeking a Fleet Planner to join the team at the Savannah Training Center. This position is responsible for maintaining and executing the day-to-day planning and scheduling of client training activities while balancing customer requirements, regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and employee resource allocation.

  • Manage and execute daily client training schedules for assigned aircraft platforms.

  • Schedule and coordinate instructor training activities, including booking, authorization tracking, qualification tracking, and resource allocation.

  • Partner with Training Managers to ensure customer training requirements, course programs, employee resources, and booking information are accurate and aligned with operational needs.

  • Collaborate with Training Managers to support the development and maintenance of course catalogs and ensure courses are accurately entered into scheduling systems.

  • Allocate instructor, simulator, and training resources to support training delivery while balancing client needs, regulatory requirements, operational goals, and employee work-life considerations.

  • Proactively identify scheduling challenges and develop alternative solutions to support training delivery and customer satisfaction.

  • Monitor regulatory requirements and ensure training schedules comply with applicable National Aviation Authority (NAA) regulations and CAE requirements.

  • Serve as the primary owner of the regulatory conflict resolution process related to training scheduling.

  • Adapt schedules and resource assignments to address changing priorities, customer requests, cancellations, and employee absences.

  • Communicate regularly with Training Managers, Sales, Customer Service, and Fleet Planning colleagues to address training requirements and scheduling needs.

  • Identify opportunities to improve schedule utilization and operational efficiency while supporting revenue retention and customer satisfaction.

  • Work independently as the Savannah-based Fleet Planner while collaborating with Fleet Planning teams across multiple locations.

  • Occasionally provide coverage and support for Client Services Representative responsibilities, which may include front desk support when needed.

  • Participate in initial training delivered at another CAE location, which may include travel to New Jersey or Dallas for several weeks.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 2-5 years of aviation industry experience or experience in a related operational scheduling, planning, logistics, or training coordination environment.

  • Experience coordinating schedules, resources, or training activities in a regulated environment.

  • Ability to interpret and apply regulations, policies, and procedural requirements.

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to changing business demands.

  • Experience collaborating with customer-facing teams, sales organizations, or training management teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop creative solutions to complex scheduling and resource allocation challenges.
