Job summary

Hertrich Family of Dealerships is hiring an Automotive PDI Technician / Fleet Vehicle Inspection Technician to join our service team. The role focuses on pre-delivery inspections, fleet vehicle preparation, and light mechanical repairs while keeping precise service records.

You will use Dealertrack DMS and Xtime; prior experience is preferred. The position supports career growth within a busy automotive group offering comprehensive benefits and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive inspection or general service is preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Basic computer and documentation skills are required.
• Ability to manage multiple vehicles and deadlines.
• Dependable, organized, and team-oriented applicants preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-delivery inspections on new and fleet vehicles.
• Complete vehicle readiness and safety checklists.
• Identify damage, defects, or mechanical concerns.
• Perform basic maintenance and light repairs as needed.
• Prepare fleet vehicles for customer delivery.
• Document inspections and repair orders accurately.
• Update vehicle records using dealership software.
• Coordinate with service, parts, and fleet departments.
• Maintain a safe, organized work area.
