Responsibilities

• Oversee truck fleet operations to attain high service levels at minimum expense.
• Maintain accurate files on vehicle use, condition, and maintenance.
• Ensure tractors and trailers are efficiently utilized with delivery schedules.
• Implement inspection and maintenance programs for equipment.
• Recommend specifications for new equipment.
• Provide a level of delivery service that meets or exceeds customer expectations.
• Direct clerical staff and drivers to meet objectives.
• Hire, train and develop a productive work team.
• Implement a driver safety program and DOT reporting procedures.
• Process bills of lading and ensure proper charges are billed.
