Pave America is seeking a Motor Vehicle Mechanic to repair and maintain our fleet of trucks and heavy paving equipment. The role includes oil changes, preventive maintenance, and diagnosing issues to ensure safe operation.

Ideal candidates have strong repair skills, the ability to read manuals, and experience with diagnostic software. A high school diploma or equivalent plus vocational training is required; CDL may be needed. The position is on-site in Texas with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of all aspects of vehicle repair.
• Excellent mechanical repair skills.
• Ability to read service and repair manuals.
• Proficient with computer diagnostic equipment and software.
• Two years of related experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Vocational/technical school program or apprenticeship in auto repair or related field required.
• Commercial Driver's License may be required.

Responsabilités

• Maintains vehicles, a fleet of trucks and heavy paving equipment.
• Performs routine and preventive maintenance including oil changes.
• Identifies mechanical problems using visual checks or diagnostics.
• Repairs or replaces malfunctioning parts such as brakes, belts and pumps.
• Plans timetable to complete repairs and maintenance.
• Visits job sites to inspect vehicles and test drives for safety.
