Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certifications preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years of relevant mechanical experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver’s license meeting company insurance requirements.
• Ability to operate a variety of vehicles and equipment, including CDL Class A, B, and C vehicles, forklifts, and pallet jacks.
• Experience with vehicle diagnostics, maintenance, and repair across multiple vehicle types.
• State inspection and emissions certification preferred.
• Knowledge of hydraulic lift gate systems and repair preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform Preventative Maintenance & Repairs: Conduct scheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on fleet vehicles and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Prepare Vehicles for Compliance: Ensure all vehicles meet state inspection and emissions requirements and are maintained in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Diagnose Mechanical Issues: Identify mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues and complete timely, effective repairs.
• Maintain Service Records: Accurately track maintenance schedules, service intervals, and repair history for each vehicle.
• Support Fleet Operations: Perform road calls and emergency repairs as needed to minimize operational disruptions.
• Monitor Parts & Inventory: Track parts usage, review invoices, and maintain appropriate inventory levels for maintenance needs.
• Conduct Equipment Checks: Perform routine fluid checks and general inspections to proactively identify potential issues.
• Maintain Work Environment: Keep shop, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and in safe working condition.
• Follow Safety Standards: Operate all tools and equipment in a safe and compliant manner and immediately report any safety incidents, accidents, or injuries.
• Represent the Company Professionally: Maintain a positive and professional image when interacting with internal teams and external partners.
