SRM Concrete is seeking a Fleet Mechanic in Leander, TX to maintain a fleet of mixer and heavy equipment. Join a safety‑driven team and get hands‑on training, with opportunities to advance while keeping vehicles running reliably.

You will diagnose, repair, and service diesel engines, hydraulic and electrical systems, using diagnostic tools, and document work in our systems. High school diploma required; CDL preferred; on‑the‑job training for entry level candidates; competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Diesel engines, hydraulic and electrical systems knowledge.
• Experience with diagnostic tools and heavy equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines and equipment, including oil changes, lubrications, and filter replacements.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in mixer trucks, loaders, dump trucks, tankers, and other heavy equipment.
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
• Rebuild, replace, or repair major components such as engine heads, blocks, starters, and transmissions.
• Collaborate with the operations team to schedule maintenance and repairs, minimizing downtime.
• Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures in the workshop and on job sites.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work using company systems.
• Stay updated on the latest diesel engine technology and repair techniques through ongoing learning.

• Proven experience as a diesel mechanic, fleet mechanic, or heavy equipment technician is a plus.
• Strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems is preferred.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment; willingness to learn new technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Commitment to safety standards and protocols.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical certification in diesel engine repair is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license required; CDL is preferred.
