Job summary

SRM Concrete is seeking a Fleet Mechanic to maintain our mixer trucks, loaders, dump trucks, and other heavy equipment. You will perform routine maintenance, diagnose issues, and collaborate with operations to minimize downtime, while upholding safety standards.

Entry-level candidates are encouraged; on-the-job training provided. A strong foundation in diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems is valued, along with a valid driver's license (CDL preferred).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Vocational or technical certification in diesel engine repair is a plus.
• CDL preferred and valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in heavy fleet.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify issues and determine repairs.
• Rebuild/replace major components such as engines and transmissions.
• Coordinate with operations to schedule maintenance and minimize downtime.
• Adhere to safety policies in workshop and on job sites.
• Maintain records of maintenance and repairs.

As a Fleet Mechanic, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our vehicles and equipment operate reliably to meet project demands and delivery schedules. If you're committed to safety, quality repairs, and teamwork, we want to hear from you.

Your Mission & Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines and equipment, including oil changes, lubrications, and filter replacements.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in mixer trucks, loaders, dump trucks, tankers, and other heavy equipment.
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
• Rebuild, replace, or repair major components such as engine heads, blocks, starters, and transmissions.
• Collaborate with the operations team to schedule maintenance and repairs, minimizing downtime.
• Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures in the workshop and on job sites.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work using company systems.
• Stay updated on the latest diesel engine technology and repair techniques through ongoing learning.

• Commitment to safety standards and protocols.
