Job summary

Forward Air is seeking a skilled Mechanic to keep our fleet running safely and efficiently in a fast-paced transportation environment. You will inspect, diagnose, and repair tractors, trailers, and material-handling equipment across North America, performing preventive maintenance and responding to urgent repair needs to minimize downtime.

You will work closely with operations, follow strict safety and DOT standards, and maintain accurate service records.

Qualifications

• Proven mechanical experience in fleet maintenance or heavy vehicle repair.
• Ability to perform inspections, diagnostics and repairs on tractors and trailers.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced transportation environment.
