Job Overview

CLARKE VEHICARE is hiring for New Business in Moraine, OH.

Position: Fleet Mechanic – Truck Technician. Multiple shifts with pay up to $40 plus shift differential.

Responsibilities

• Use of smartphone, laptop and tablet technology to record all repairs
• Repairs and maintains customer vehicles and mechanical equipment
• Perform PMI’s on tractors, trailers and other diesel‑powered equipment
• Perform all types of engine, brake, drivetrain, electrical, and A/C repairs; test drive vehicles under 26,000 GVW
• Maintain shop safety and organize shop standards
• Meet with vehicle operators periodically to ensure proper education on assets and equipment

Physical and Safety Requirements

• Required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit
• Required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and reach with hands and arms
• Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs with assistance
• Must be able to read and write reports
• Implement and enforce health and safety rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and prescribed instructions

Education and Experience

• 3–5 years experience with diesel engines
• Completion of a diesel program preferred

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

• ASE certifications are a plus
• Valid driver’s license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at‑fault accidents within the last 3 years
• No drug or alcohol‑related conviction on driving record in the past 5 years (e.g., DUI/DWI)
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work‑authorization sponsorship now or in the future
