Job summary

Easy Tree Service in Minnesota is seeking an experienced Fleet Mechanic to maintain and repair a diverse fleet of tree service equipment, including trucks, chippers, stump grinders, and lifts. You will diagnose issues, perform preventative maintenance, and keep equipment safe and reliable for daily operation.

This role offers weekly payroll, paid vacation, holidays, and a 401k. CDL is a plus but not required, and candidates should be comfortable working outdoors in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a mechanic (fleet, diesel, heavy equipment, or similar).
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical issues efficiently.
• Experience with preventative maintenance programs.
• Valid driver's license (CDL a plus but not required).
• Ability to lift heavy parts and work in outdoor/shop environments.
• Reliable, organized, and safety-focused.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain a fleet including bucket and dump trucks.
• Service stump grinders, grapple trucks, trailers.
• Maintain inspection schedules and service records.
• Tackle hydraulic, electrical, and diesel system issues.
• Coordinate repairs to minimize downtime and ensure DOT compliance.
• Keep shop areas clean and organized; follow safety rules.
