Job summary

Peak Utility Infrastructure is seeking a skilled Mechanic to maintain fleet equipment and trucks in a full-time on-site role based in Tennessee. You will diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance to keep field operations productive and compliant with DOT standards.

The position requires disassembly of engines, work on electrical systems, and accurate maintenance records; candidates must supply their own tools and pass background checks.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in fleet and construction equipment diagnosis, troubleshooting and repair of gasoline and diesel engines.
• Familiar with electrical, hydraulic and suspension systems.
• Must provide own tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic, troubleshooting and repair tasks on vehicles, equipment and trailers.
• Completion of preventative maintenance tasks including oil changes and brake jobs.
• Troubleshooting and repair of electrical issues especially wiring harnesses and lighting.
• Coordinate with the Shop Foreman to prioritize and expedite repairs.
• Document repair and maintenance work on vehicles, trailers and equipment in accordance with company processes.
• Ensure DOT compliance on all fleet items.
• Enter data into fleet computer system for tracking and vehicle profiles.
