Job summary

This role handles preventive maintenance, troubleshoots mechanical, electrical, brake, and HVAC issues, and completes DOT-compliant inspections and documentation.

Working in a safety-focused, team-oriented shop, the Mechanic helps ensure vehicles are road-ready, responds to breakdowns, and supports continuous improvement in fleet

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing and repairing transit vehicles.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance per schedule.
• Proficiency with electrical and brake systems on buses or vans.
• Familiarity with DOT inspections and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair a fleet of transit vehicles to keep them road-ready.
• Perform preventive maintenance and respond to breakdowns in a timely manner.
