PRICE ELECTRIC in Robins, IA is hiring a skilled Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, and repair gas and diesel construction equipment. You will maintain a diverse fleet of boring drills, excavators and skid loaders, perform tests, run diagnostics, complete service logs, and ensure safety, reliability, and performance across our heavy machinery.

Qualifications

• Mechanical education or certification with 3+ years of experience diagnosing and maintaining gas/diesel engines and equipment.
• Experience with welding and performing preventive maintenance on heavy equipment.
• Ability to read manuals and operate computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain construction equipment including boring drills, excavators, and skid loaders.
• Perform test drives and run diagnostic tests to identify issues.
• Diagnose mechanical issues through testing and troubleshooting.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs to keep equipment safe and reliable.
• Complete service logs and report equipment issues.
• Respond to service calls and perform mobile welding as needed.
