Job Details

• Type: Full-Time
• Schedule: Monday-Friday
• Location: Sanford, ME
• Hours: 40 Hours (Opportunity for overtime)
• Pay Range: $24-28 Depending on experience

Job Responsibilities

1. Perform thorough, accurate preventative maintenance inspections.
2. Complete scheduled maintenance operations such as lubrication, fluid changes, brake adjustments, and tire rotation.
3. Perform unscheduled maintenance as directed by the Fleet Maintenance Supervisor.
4. Conduct complex repairs including engine, electrical, fuel, brake, and exhaust repairs, interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
5. Provide emergency roadside services as needed.
6. Inspect equipment and diagnose mechanical defects.
7. Document repairs and parts on work orders accurately.
8. Maintain tools and work areas in a neat and orderly manner.
9. Perform other duties as required, including on-call services, extended hours, or weekend work if necessary.
10. Occasionally drive vans, buses, or other vehicles for road tests.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic or mechanic preferred.
• Accreditation from a school or certification program preferred.
• Completion of all training requirements.
• Pre-employment background checks required.
