Job summary

Saber Power Services, LLC, headquartered in Houston, TX, is seeking a skilled Fleet Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of vehicles and equipment in Rosharon, TX. You will perform routine maintenance, diagnose issues, and ensure safety and DOT compliance to keep operations running smoothly.

The role requires 3+ years in automotive or fleet maintenance with strong mechanical and diagnostic skills, and the ability to read service manuals and schematics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of automotive or fleet maintenance experience.
• Experience with light-duty trucks and forklifts (propane, electric).
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to read service manuals and schematics.
• Safety-conscious and able to work independently.
• Familiarity with fleet management software a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and repair as needed.
• Maintain service records and ensure safety compliance (DOT and company).
• Conduct brake, transmission, engine, and drivetrain repairs as required.
• Troubleshoot gas, diesel, and propane-powered vehicles.
• Coordinate with operations to minimize downtime and schedule repairs.
• Maintain inventory of parts and supplies and operate diagnostic tools.
• Ensure vehicles are clean, safe and operational before return to service.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns or service requests.
• Other duties as assigned.

Saber Power Services, LLC, (SPS) headquartered in Houston, TX is a nationally recognized full service, EPC, specialty engineering, procurement, construction and testing and commissioning company specializing in complex medium and high voltage electrical infrastructure in North America.

Saber Power Services operates a large and diverse fleet of vehicles including automobiles, pickups, and forklifts. We are currently seeking a skilled and dependable Fleet Mechanic to join our team and help keep our operations running smoothly.

Position Summary:
The Fleet Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing company-owned vehicles and equipment, including passenger vehicles, pickup trucks, and forklifts. This position requires a strong knowledge of mechanical systems, preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repair procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and make necessary repairs.
• Maintain service records and ensure compliance with DOT and company safety standards.
• Conduct brake, transmission, engine, and drivetrain repairs as needed.
• Troubleshoot and repair gas, diesel, and propane-powered vehicles.
• Coordinate with operations team to schedule repairs and minimize downtime.
• Assist in maintaining inventory of parts and supplies.
• Operate diagnostic tools and equipment to ensure proper repairs.

• 3+ years of experience in automotive or fleet maintenance.
• Experience with light-duty trucks and forklifts (both propane and electric) strongly preferred.
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to read and interpret service manuals and schematics.
• Must be safety-conscious and able to work independently.
• Familiarity with fleet management software is a plus.
