Job summary

We seek experienced mechanics to diagnose and repair mechanical issues on diesel and gas fleets, maintain a safe work area, and support field service calls with precise repair records.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical repair.
• Experience with welding and cutting torches.
• Experience with troubleshooting running gears and electric systems.
• Knowledge of gas and diesel engines and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses and repairs mechanical problems in diesel and gas trucks, vans and cars.
• Maintains a work area that is clean and safe.
• Handles road and service calls as needed.
• Accurately complete repair records.
• Ability to interpret equipment technical manuals and follow troubleshooting guidelines.
• Follows safe waste disposal procedures.
• Provide best estimate repair time on job assignment. Tests mechanical products or equipment before being put back into service.
• Proper use of hand and power tools as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned

Skills, Experience, and Knowledge Required

Education

• High School Diploma Preferred

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience

• Experience with trouble shooting running gears and electric systems.
• Knowledge with gas and diesel engines and repairs

Skills & Requirements

• Minimum 18 years of age
• Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record
• Successful Pre-Employment Drug and Agility tests
• Ability to lift 100 LBS or more
• Successful Background CheckMust be eligible to drive company’s vehicles.
