Job summary

SP+, a Metropolis company, is seeking a Vehicle Maintenance Technician in Houston, TX to perform multi-vehicle maintenance and inspections in a safety‑driven environment. Must meet ASE certifications and DOT requirements; 21+ with a valid license and tools. Competitive hourly pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or equivalent required. Graduation from approved program at technical school a plus.
• Prior experience as a Mechanic or Vehicle Maintenance Technician and/or prior experience with heavy fleet vehicles preferred.
• Possess or willing to obtain all applicable ASE certifications.
• Must possess a valid state-issued driver’s license with a current address and acceptable driving record.
• A Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card) is required.
• Must have all necessary hand tools to perform maintenance duties.
• Special shift requirements may vary; availability to work 2nd/3rd shift and/or weekends may be required.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence; present information to customers and employees.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all vehicles to ensure safety, reliability, and passenger comfort.
• Perform quality maintenance inspections and repairs on all assigned vehicles and equipment.
• Perform maintenance duties in a safe and cost-efficient manner.
• Maintain technical competency and engage in ongoing training and development programs.
