Job Description

The Dupuy Group is currently hiring for a Fleet Mechanic Technician for their Jacksonville warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose failures of vehicles and disassemble, repair and reassemble parts as necessary
• Basic computer use
• Adherence to DOT regulations
• Perform preventative maintenance on vehicles
• Answer troubleshooting calls
• Maintain vehicle records as required
• Maintain and repair fleet equipment
• Complete necessary documents
• Maintain records such as daily checklist (pre‑trip inspection) and part inventories

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency
• Good verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with operations and maintenance personnel
• Ability to read, write and understand English and follow written and/or verbal instruction
• Experience operating yard spotters and tractors (on the yard only)
• Previous experience with gas engine repair
• Working knowledge of hydraulic and air brake systems
• Knowledge of internal combustible engines
• Confidence in repairing suspensions, rear ends, transmissions, air brake systems, minor engine work (injectors, turbos, etc.) and more

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift up to 50 pounds (with or without an accommodation)
