Job summary

Pilot Thomas Logistics seeks a Maintenance Shop Manager to direct maintenance personnel, equipment, and facilities, focusing on efficiency and profitability.

You will manage hiring, mentoring, scheduling, performance reviews, and discipline; oversee preventive maintenance, safety compliance, and coordination with shop, dispatch, and operations to maintain high uptime and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years of maintenance shop experience.
• 3–5 years of management and budget experience.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and compliance.
• Proven ability to optimize equipment uptime and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate maintenance activities and staff to maximize efficiency and profits.
• Ensure adherence to maintenance scheduling, PMs, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage hiring, mentoring, scheduling, performance reviews, and discipline.
• Coordinate between shop, dispatch and operations to improve customer satisfaction.
• Oversee budget, safety meetings, audits, and regulatory compliance.
• Travel up to 50% across the East (TN, WV, OH, PA) as needed.
