**Job Overview:**

Waste Management (WM), a Fortune 250 company, is seeking candidates for a 12-month Fleet Maintenance Operations Management Trainee program. This program aims to develop individuals into fleet maintenance managers responsible for managing fleet operations, costs, safety, and personnel within assigned regions. The training combines on-the-job experience and classroom learning, with eventual relocation to lead a WM Fleet Shop.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Complete all training modules via WM Learning Management System.
  • Develop skills to become a Fleet Manager, including managing fleet and maintenance activities, safety, and financial processes.
  • Participate in field and classroom training, including safety programs and operational procedures.
  • Manage paperwork related to vehicle repairs and parts usage using fleet maintenance software.
  • Engage in team meetings, mentorship programs, and special projects.

**Qualifications:**

  • Bachelor’s Degree or High School Diploma/GED with 3 years of relevant fleet maintenance experience.
  • 4 years of supervisory/leadership experience in fleet maintenance.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness to relocate, work outdoors, and work non-traditional hours.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills; mechanical or technical background preferred.

**Physical & Environmental Requirements:**

Field work involves exposure to weather, heavy equipment, and non-office conditions. Candidates must be able to work extended hours, including weekends and early mornings.
