Job summary

WM is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team of fleet technicians responsible for the upkeep of ~100 vehicles & assets. You will supervise daily shop operations, prioritize repairs, and ensure compliance with safety standards. Partner with operations to minimize downtime and keep fleet readiness high.

The role is full-time on-site with a 2nd shift (1:00 PM start) and occasional Saturdays. Strong safety focus and leadership experience are essential.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED (accredited).
  • 4 years of relevant work experience (in addition to education).
  • Driver's License Valid Driver's License Upon Hire.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the day-to-day operations of employees in the maintenance shop.
  • Coordinates and supervises all maintenance work and repairs, and monitors progress and quality.
  • Reviews driver repairs and other maintenance requests and prepares work order documents.
  • Performs mechanical duties as needed.
  • Monitors inventory of replacement parts and restocks as needed.
  • Oversees personnel including coaching, training, evaluating employee performance, and disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Interprets and ensures consistent application of organizational policies and safety regulations.
  • Creates and submits reports as necessary.
