Main Responsibilities
- Greeting customers and ensuring a great experience while fueling and washing vehicles
- Performing vehicle readiness inspections to confirm tires, fluids, and other basic maintenance items are complete
- Maintaining clean and safe facility environments for customers and associates
- Building skills through training and coaching to perform minor repairs such as tire installation, tire replacement/rotation, and preventive maintenance
- Completing other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
General Requirements
- High school diploma, equivalent, or prior work experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license required
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Willingness to work outside and in varying weather conditions
- Basic mechanical ability and tool usage (preferred)
- Basic computer skills
- Compliance with Penske management instructions, guidelines, rules, regulations, and safety policies, including DOT, OSHA, and PPE requirements
- Regular, full attendance is essential
- DOT‑regulated position requiring a current driver qualification file, including annual MVR checks, DOT physical, safety performance history, and drug screening for CDL holders
- Willingness to work the required schedule, location, and complete background screening, drug screen, and physical as required
Physical Requirements
- Frequently move, stand, walk, climb, bend, and sit for extended periods
- Use hands to grasp, reach, touch, handle, and operate tools or controls routinely
- Work safely at heights using ladders and elevated platforms
- Operate safely in all weather conditions
- See and hear to navigate a workspace with large trucks
- Lift or move up to 50 lbs (23 kg) regularly and up to 100 lbs (45 kg) occasionally; push/pull tires exceeding 100 lbs
Pay
Hourly rate: $23.00.
Shift Differentials
Second shift start after 11 am: $3.00 per hour. Third shift start after 9 pm: $4.00 per hour.
