Job summary

The University of Mary in Bismarck, ND, seeks a Mechanic to maintain fleet vehicles and grounds equipment, perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs, and support day-to-day operations across campus. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of mechanic experience required.
• ASE Master Automobile Technician preferred.
• Heavy equipment mechanic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs fleet vehicle and equipment maintenance, including preventative maintenance, vehicle diagnostics, and corrective repairs on all fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Performs winter grounds activities, including plowing, ice control, snow blowing, shoveling, etc.; uses a variety of light and heavy equipment including plow trucks, skid steers, dump trucks, etc.
• Performs summer grounds activities, mowing lawns, edging, cleaning up trash, pruning trees and shrubs, fertilizing, putting in new planting beds, seeding, etc.
