Zusammenfassung

Solano County is seeking an Equipment Mechanic who independently diagnoses and repairs light and heavy equipment and vehicles, performing shop and field work. You will use diagnostic tools, hand and power tools to service engines, transmissions, brakes, hydraulics, electrical systems, and HVAC components.

The ideal candidate has extensive hands-on fleet maintenance experience, adheres to safety/EPA regulations, and maintains accurate service records.

Qualifikationen

• Four years of full-time paid experience in performing engine repairs on vehicles and/or heavy equipment.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing gasoline and diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical components, and powertrains.
• Familiar with fleet maintenance safety, EPA regulations, and emissions controls.
• Ability to read and follow maintenance procedures and keep accurate records.

Aufgaben

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain gasoline and diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical components.
• Perform field service calls and on-site repairs as needed.
• Prepare work orders, procure parts, and interact with vendors.
• Provide guidance and training to Equipment Service Workers and others.
