Cline Tours in Ridgeland, Mississippi, is seeking a Diesel Technician / Mechanic to support our school bus and motorcoach fleet. The role focuses on preventative maintenance inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and roadside service in a safety-minded shop environment.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of heavy-duty diesel repair experience and working knowledge of Cummins engines, air brake systems, HVAC, and emissions-related repairs. CDL may be required within six months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 3+ years of heavy-duty diesel repair experience.
• CDL or ability to obtain within six months of employment.
• Willingness to obtain Passenger (P) endorsement as required by the employer.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physically demanding work.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, electrical systems, HVAC, air brake systems, steering, suspension, and emissions systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections and routine maintenance services.
• Change oil, filters, fluids, belts, hoses, batteries, and other service items.
• Assist senior technicians with repairs to engines, brakes, suspension, steering, HVAC, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Perform basic diagnostics using shop tools and computerized diagnostic equipment.
• Inspect vehicles for safety and report repair needs.
• Maintain accurate repair orders and maintenance records.
• Keep the shop, tools, and work areas clean and organized.
• Assist with road calls and emergency repairs as assigned.
• Follow OSHA regulations, environmental requirements, and company safety policies.
