Job summary

Lufkin Ford is seeking a Certified Diesel Service Technician to join our team. You will perform repairs and maintenance on heavy-duty and medium-duty diesel vehicles in a fast-paced Ford dealership environment, while learning and growing with the Ford Family.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
ASE certification preferred.
CDL certification preferred.
1 year fleet or dealership experience preferred.
Teammate with dedication to customer service.
Own tools may be required.

Responsibilities

Provide technical service to diesel vehicles and equipment.
Read job orders, observe and listen to vehicle in operation to resolve malfunction, and plan work procedures.
Follow checklists ensuring all critical parts are examined.
Examine guards, loose bolts and safety devices on trucks and adjust as needed.
Test-drive vehicles to ensure proper operation.
Attend training classes and review factory bulletins.
Develop positive relationships with customers to increase satisfaction.
Complete work per supervisor and warranty procedures.
Maintain workspace organized and clean while following safety requirements.
