Job summary

Zūm Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Technician I to support maintenance operations for our fleet. You will diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, perform repairs, and conduct preventive maintenance to keep vehicles safe and compliant with DOT standards.

This role requires attention to detail, the ability to use diagnostic tools, and a hands-on approach to first-time fixes. You will work in a fast-paced environment, maintain accurate records, and participate in safety and quality

Qualifications

  • 5 years of fleet experience in Diesel, Heavy/Med duty fleets.
  • Minimum of five years Auto/Truck or Bus mechanical repair experience.
  • Experience with compliance with the local applicable DOT compliance of Med/Heavy Trucks.
  • Computer proficiency for fleet management systems and documentation.
  • Possess the recommended minimum hand tools for a Medium and Heavy Duty and Diesel Technician.
  • Strong experience with computerized diagnostics.

Responsibilities

  • Vehicle Diagnostics & Repair: Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs on steering, electrical, cooling, braking, and drive systems; test drives after service.
  • Maintenance Operations: Perform preventive maintenance and unscheduled repairs; record time, parts, and repairs.
  • Safety & Compliance: Maintain safe, clean work area; ensure DOT compliance; work shifts and overtime as needed.
