Job summary

Daimler Truck North America LLC. is seeking a Fleet Credit Analyst to analyze the financial condition of commercial fleet borrowers and collaborate with Sales, Legal, and Finance teams. The role supports profitable growth while maintaining risk controls in a hybrid Charlotte, NC environment.

You will review credit files, prepare reasoned recommendations, and participate in joint customer visits. A 2–4 year track record (or 6 years in lieu) and strong Excel/DTFS system knowledge are preferred.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Business Administration, Finance, or related field; 2–4 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Experience in credit analysis for commercial lending and fleet finance.
• Proficiency with MS Suite (Outlook, Excel) and data interpretation.
• Knowledge of DTFS systems and applications (ALFA, PEGA, ECP, Credit Lens).
• Ability to review financial statements, forecast outcomes and provide risk-adjusted recommendations.
• Experience with Moody’s software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze the financial condition for Fleet borrowers with DTFS balances exceeding $1.25MM.
• Review fleet borrower accounts with balances over $1MM for timely assessments.
• Propose well-reasoned credit decisions to authorities for approval.
• Collaborate with District Finance Managers on buying strategies to optimize risk-adjusted returns.
• Support sales calls, customer/dealer visits, and department projects.

Inside the Role

The Fleet Credit is responsible for Daimler Truck Financial Services commercial retail and lease acquisitions for Fleet customers above $1.25MM outstanding with DTFS. Our Analyst demonstrate account knowledge, industry and customer business understanding, financial statement analysis, negotiations techniques and strategic solutions. We also maintain positive relationships with DTFS Sales Team and Dealer network to assist with profitable growth in the portfolio. Fleet Credit Analyst will work closely with inside and Outside Legal Counsel, Fleet Workout, Sales, Remarketing, Fleet Services, Titles and Dealer Credit teams. The position involves account knowledge, industry and customer business understanding, financial statement analysis, negotiations techniques and strategic solutions. The team has members with extensive and vast experiences, enjoys great camaraderie and support, knowledge sharing and teamwork.

What You Drive At DTFS

• Analyze the financial condition for Fleet borrowers with DTFS outstanding balance that exceed $1.25MM, or requesting a line of credit.
• Perform timely reviews of Fleet borrowers with outstanding balances in excess of $1MM.
• For credit files outside of limits of authority, present sound and reasoned recommendations to the appropriate approving authorities, such as Local, Local + Senior, and Executive Credit Committee.
• Build positive relations and work with District Finance Managers (DFMs) on buying strategies to ensure proper credit risk and returns are achieved.
• Participate in joint Sales calls and Customer/Dealer visits, when necessary.
• Have an understanding of all Fleet related Legal documentation to remain complaint ensuring DTFS perfection.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations including both the Local and Global Credit Rules Assist with training and coaching other fleet collectors, new or as needed.
• Share knowledge to increase overall team performance.
• Assist in department projects, process improvement, supporting company values and customer experience.

Knowledge You Should Bring

• BS/BA and prefer 2-4 years of relevant experience or 6 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• 2 years experience working in a general business field.
• 1 year experience working with credit.
• Proficiency with MS Suite (advanced user of Outlook and Excel).
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to collect data and establish facts and identity trend and variances.
• Exceptional Candidates Might Have Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Finance, Statistics.
• 2 years Financial analysis and presentation skills.
• 1 years Moody’s software application experience.
• 2 years of Commercial Lending experience in the Transportation Industry.
• Knowledge in DTFS systems and applications preferred: ALFA, PEGA, ECP, Credit Lens, Legal Documentation, UCC.
• Ability to integrate information from a variety of sources with caried levels of complexity.
• Ability to formulate and test hypotheses from the purpose of forecasting outcomes.
• Ability to review and interpret and evaluate statistical information.
• Assist in department projects, process improvement, supporting company values and customer experience.
