Job summary

Art Walker Construction Inc. is seeking an experienced Auto Mechanic to maintain our non-CDL fleet — pickup trucks, vans, and light-duty service vehicles — at our Citra yard.

Cross-training in diesel mechanics will be available for those who want to expand into heavy equipment maintenance. You will diagnose, repair, and document service events while following safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an automotive mechanic in dealership, fleet, or independent shop.
• ASE certification is a plus but not required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean record.
• Ability to work independently and manage shop workload.
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain our pickup trucks, vans, and light-duty service vehicles.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, brakes, tires, batteries, belts, and fluids.
• Maintain accurate service and repair records for the fleet.
• Order parts and manage inventory for the auto shop.
• Coordinate with supervisors and dispatch on downtime and repair priorities.
• Follow all company safety policies and OSHA standards.

Auto Mechanic – Fleet Maintenance

We are seeking an experienced Auto Mechanic to maintain and repair our company's non-CDL fleet, including pickup trucks, vans, and light-duty service vehicles supporting crews out of our Citra yard. Diesel Mechanic cross-training will be available for interested candidates looking to expand into heavy-duty and equipment repair.

What You’ll Do

• Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, brakes, tires, batteries, belts, and fluid services
• Maintain accurate service and repair records for the fleet
• Order parts and manage inventory for the auto shop

What We’re Looking For
