Qualifications

  • Degree in Food Science, Biology or related fields.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office.
  • Solid practical math skills for dilutions and measurements.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions, formulas and laboratory processes.
  • Highly organized, proactive and eager to learn new technical and sensory skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team.
  • Ability to taste and evaluate sensory attributes of flavors.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, cleanliness and good laboratory practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support Flavorists in developing innovative flavors for bakery, bar and confectionery applications.
  • Accurately compound flavor formulations by following established processes, formulas and safety requirements.
  • Handle, organize and prepare raw materials, including weighing, labeling and measuring physical properties as needed.
  • Maintain an efficient, well-organized laboratory and support raw material and flavor stock transfers.
  • Prepare raw materials, solutions and samples for evaluations, ensuring readiness for sensory and application work.
  • Follow all laboratory and plant safety procedures, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
