Job summary

Hartford Paving is seeking a full-time Truck/Moffett Driver in Johnston, RI. The role requires a current Class A CDL, a clean driving record, and 1–2 years of over-the-road hauling experience.

You will deliver freight including pallets and hardscapes equipment to job sites. Responsibilities include coordinating routes with the dispatcher, performing yard duties when not delivering, and ensuring loads are secured safely.

Qualifications

• Must have a current Class A CDL and clean driving record.
• Minimum 1–2 years of flatbed hauling experience.
• Must pass DOT physical.
• Ability to work independently and safely manage loads.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with dispatcher & team on planning routes.

• Follow all applicable traffic laws.
• Report incidents to dispatcher.

Truck/Moffett Driver

We are seeking a full-time truck driver that must have experience combined with physical strength to succeed in this role. All drivers must have a current Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Drivers must have a clean driving record and 1-2 years over the road hauling experience. Drivers will be delivering freight such as pallets and hardscapes equipment to job sites.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with dispatcher & team on planning your driving routes
• Time management – assist in yard if no deliveries are scheduled
• Monitor road conditions and watch for traffic congestion
• Follow all applicable traffic laws
• Report to a dispatcher any incidents encountered on the road
• Inspect flatbed and moffett before and after the trip and report any issues found
• Follow accident procedures if an accident occurs
• Report serious mechanical problems to the appropriate personnel
• Keep truck, and associated equipment, clean and in good working order
• Ensure load is secured properly on truck
• Load and unload palletized material safely at job sites
• Flexible work hours

Requirements

• Must be 21+
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Class A CDL
• Clean driving records
• Ability to follow GPS and use maps accurately
• Must possess a high degree of integrity and ability to work independently
• Minimum 1-2 years of flatbed hauling experience
• Ability to pass DOT physical
