Job summary

Bairdandwilson is seeking a Flatbed Truck Driver to ensure safe, timely delivery of sheet metal products. You will operate a flatbed truck, load and secure materials, and travel to various destinations following all safety policies.

The role requires 1–2 years of flatbed experience, a clean driving record, and strong knowledge of safety procedures. Ability to lift heavy items and operate a forklift is preferred. On-site work with potential for long hours and varied weather conditions.

As a Flatbed Truck Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and timely delivery of our sheet metal products. You will be responsible for operating a flatbed truck and transporting materials to various destinations while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Must tie their loads down to their trucks. This must be done properly to ensure safe transportation.
• Plan driving routes using maps or GPS tracking.
• Reach destination by the predetermined time.
• Get material to client on time.
• Monitor road conditions and what for traffic congestion.
• Follow all traffic laws.
• Always keep vehicle maintenance up. (Fuel, Cleanliness inside and outside)
• Report to supervisor of any incidents encountered on the road.
• Inspect trailer before and after all trips, and record any defects found.
• Follow accident procedures.
• Report all mechanical problems to appropriate personnel.
• Keep associated equipment clean and in working order.
