Job summary

Deco West, Inc. in Las Vegas is hiring an on-site Flatbed Screen Printer / Decal Press Operator to run our A.W.T. Accu-Print High-Tech HL four-post flatbed press.

You will print organic and ceramic decals for glass and drinkware, then apply and finish the product. We can train you on our process, and you should have production habits and mechanical sense to solve basic press problems. Pay ranges from $20 to $24 per hour, with overtime after 40 hours.

Qualifications

• Production mindset with ability to hit counts and keep quality.
• Ability to stand, lift screens and stock, and work around a moving vacuum bed.
• Basic mechanical problem solving.
• Able to work on-site in Las Vegas, Monday through Friday, shop hours.
• Willing to wear PPE, including a respirator for certain steps.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run the AWT flatbed: screens, registration, off-contact, squeegee and flood bar, vacuum bed, stroke, and quantity.
• Print organic and ceramic decals to production quality.
• Load and unload substrate, keep registration, and keep the press moving.
• Clean screens, flood bars, and the print area.
• Spot press issues (registration, vacuum, stroke, ink recovery, safety interlocks) and fix what you can.
• Apply waterslide decals to glass when required: soak, additive, squeegee, dry, cover-coat removal, and fire.
• Follow job tickets, counts, and quality checks.
• Wear required PPE.

This person runs our A.W.T. Accu-Print High-Tech HL four-post flatbed press. We print organic and ceramic decals for glass and drinkware, then apply and finish product. We can train on our specific process. You need production habits and enough mechanical sense to solve basic press problems without waiting for someone to stand next to you.

Pay: $20 to $24 per hour, based on press experience. Overtime after 40 hours in a workweek.

What you will do

Respirator Some cover-coat and plastic-removal steps require a respirator. This is not every print. Deco West provides the respirator, filters, and annual fit testing. You must be willing to wear it when that step is running.
