Glass Doctor® is seeking an experienced Flat Glass Technician to deliver fast, friendly, professional residential and commercial glass services in Crown Point, IN. You will measuring, estimating and quoting jobs, install glass and related hardware, and help develop new customers while upholding our 5-star service standard.

The role requires at least 2 years of residential glass experience, neat appearance, strong communication, and the ability to work with ladders and equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience in residential glass service (flat glass preferred, auto glass acceptable)
• Neat appearance and friendly demeanor
• Ability to work with ladders, scaffolding and related equipment
• Excellent communication skills
• Consult with customers in their home at a high, professional level

Responsibilities

• Install glass, mirrors, door and window hardware in replacement and new installations
• Assess customer needs and present solutions to their problem
• Conduct accurate field measuring and cut flat glass and mirrors
• Keep shop area, company vehicle and equipment properly serviced, clean, and in good condition
• Manufacture insulated glass units
• Execute Service with Advanced Training (SWAT)
• Enter accurate information into the mobile point-of-sale system
• Support other team members

You must have relevant glass service experience to be considered for this role.

We are recruiting experienced flat glass technicians who excel (or wish to excel) at residential service. Our customers know that they can depend on us for fast, friendly and professional service by the best in the business.

The Flat Glass Technician is a key part of the customer experience. You will often be the only member of the Company that the customer ever meets in person. Our goal is to provide a 5 star service experience for every customer we serve. Our customers notice the difference and have awarded us more than 1200 Google reviews for our 3 shops in Crown Point, Valparaiso and Michigan City.

You must have relevant glass service experience to be considered for this role.

The Flat Glass Technician is key member of our team responsible for the quality and efficient installation of residential and commercial flat glass and related glass products such as windows, storefronts, mirrors, display cases, shower doors, etc. You will assist in developing new customers by identifying opportunities to sell additional work. Exemplifying our code of values, you show respect and courtesy to all customers and employees.

You will be measuring, estimating and quoting the service you will provide to our customers.
