Assistance Technique Internationale is seeking a Flash Grinder at our Monroe, NC facility. You will perform precision surface grinding using flash grinders to ensure a high-quality finish on bars.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, with preferred candidates having 1 year of manufacturing experience. Basic math, reading a tape measure, and basic computer skills are essential. Onsite work with strict safety practices is expected.

Responsabilités

• Use flash grinders to remove excess flash and defects to meet quality standards.
• Load and unload machines manually or with an inside crane.
• Grind oversized bars to meet size specifications.
• Check material dimensional accuracy with templates, drawings, or micrometers.
• Measure bars to determine sample cut locations for checks.
• Visually inspect surfaces and mark for cut-off operations.
• Identify by heat or order numbers and code materials appropriately.
• Report damaged materials or improper operations to supervision.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area and equipment.
• Follow prescribed safety regulations.

We are seeking a Flash Grinder to work in our Monroe, NC facility. In this position you are responsible for performing a variety of precision surface grinding operations using flash grinders . This role is a crucial part in the finishing process, as you will ensure the bars have a quality finish. A successful candidate will be self-motivated and show attention to detail.

Additional Responsibilities

• Use frame grinders to remove excess flash and defects such as laps, seams, pits, and cracks as identified by the operator.


• Load and unload machine physically or by using an inside crane.


• Use frame grinders for grinding oversized bars to meet size specifications.


• Check materials for dimensional accuracy by using templates, drawings, or micrometers.


• Measure bars to determine where sample is to be cut for check with template.


• Visually inspect materials for surface defects and mark for cut-off operations.


• Exercise identity by heat number, order number, or other identifying coding.


• Detect and report damaged material and improper operations. Refer questionable matters to proper supervision.


• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.


• Follow prescribed safety regulations.
