PDS Tech Commercial in Savannah, GA is seeking a Flammability Technician to support aerospace test operations. You will assemble, inspect, and repair test fixtures and assist with experimental, structural, and flammability testing activities.

Are you looking to build your career in aerospace testing and innovation? PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Flammability Technician to support a leader in the aerospace industry. In this role, you’ll assist with experimental, structural, and flammability testing activities that help ensure aircraft meet the highest standards for safety, quality, and performance.
Your hands‑on skills will contribute to the development and validation of advanced aerospace technologies while working alongside experienced test engineers and technicians.
As a Flammability Technician, you will support aerospace test operations by:
Assemble, maintain, inspect, and repair complex test fixtures, equipment, articles, and specimens.
Assist with experimental, structural, and flammability test executions.
Support fabrication activities involving sheet metal, instrumentation/electrical systems, hydraulic/pneumatic components, and large structural elements.
Use basic hand tools and follow established procedures when operating lab equipment.
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering documentation, and technical instructions.
Apply basic shop mathematics and measurement techniques to complete assigned tasks.
Communicate with supervisors and test engineering teams regarding assignments, progress, and support needs.
Ensure all completed work meets quality standards and specifications.
Follow safety procedures, use required protective equipment, and identify unsafe conditions.
Maintain clean, organized work areas using 6S and Lean principles.
Properly maintain and store company tools and equipment.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience in aviation, manufacturing, electronics, or a related technical environment preferred.
Experience using basic hand tools.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.
Basic math skills and ability to perform shop calculations.
Valid driver’s license required to operate towing and company transportation equipment.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Ability to climb ladders and stairs, work in confined areas, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.
Basic experience with one or more of the following:
Sheet metal fabrication, including cutting, bending, forming, and drilling.
Electrical systems and interpreting schematic diagrams.
Aircraft inspection, maintenance, and repair.
Machining or fabrication processes.
Experience supporting aerospace test lab operations.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with technical software.
Experience working with laboratory equipment, test fixtures, or experimental testing environments.
