Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Position Summary:
The Supply Chain Planning and Operations Support role is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing supply chain operations within planning, scheduling, and procurement to optimize the utilization of HCF’s equipment, materials, and workforce while delivering maximum customer satisfaction.
This role works collaboratively with regional and global supply chain teams, Product Line Management (PLM), production, quality, technology, and plant management to ensure high levels of service and cash flow performance. The incumbent will participate in monthly plant and regional Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) partnership meetings with divisional planning teams to establish alignment and resolve capacity constraints to support dynamic demand. Additionally, the position will develop and recommend inventory management strategies and implement lean tools to enhance efficiency and drive operational improvements.
The role will involve varying levels of project work and participation in cross-functional teams both within the plant and across Corning. This includes enhancing manufacturing efficiency, supply chain operations, and customer service performance. The position will also act as a departmental representative for projects related to Manufacturing Execution Systems (CoMET) and Enterprise Resource Planning (SAP).

The range for this position is $109,744.00-$150,898.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job‑related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
