About this role

As a passionate and driven technical expert, you will be responsible for promoting the proper application of Det-Tronics flame detection products. You will work closely with sales, field service, customer service, project teams, engineering, and marketing to identify and implement innovative solutions that will exceed customer expectations and drive company growth. As a key technical advisor and product advocate, you will have the opportunity to establish and maintain productive relationships with stakeholders across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in defining, developing, and implementing cutting-edge flame product application solutions that meet customer and code requirements
  • Resolve complex technical product and application issues for customers in alignment with the company's mission, values, and financial objectives
  • Provide pre‑sales support to customers and sales teams, helping them identify the best solution for their needs
  • Contribute to the design and development of new products and sales tools, leveraging your technical expertise to innovate and drive growth
  • Maintain relationships with industry stakeholders and represent the company at conferences and trade shows
  • Analyze project requirements and create reports and trip summaries to support proposals and projects
  • Lead technical and product training sessions for salespeople and customers, driving knowledge sharing and collaboration
  • Travel to project sites as necessary to provide on‑site commissioning and testing support
Basic Qualifications
  • 2 year degree or certification from a technical school
  • 2+ years of experience in technical product support
  • Valid Driver’s License
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant technical field
  • Expertise process automation or safety systems and their integration
  • Knowledge of Flame detection products and their application
  • Technical aptitude in communications protocols (Modbus, Ethernet, and HART) and their application
  • Knowledge of NFPA 72 National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code
  • Proven organizational skills with demonstrated ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with customers worldwide, leveraging your multicultural awareness and language skills
  • Forward thinker who actively seeks opportunities to innovate and propose solutions
  • Ability to travel, including on short notice
