Job summary

Mullens Markings in Roanoke, VA is seeking flaggers to direct traffic in active work zones and help keep crews safe. You’ll set up signs and cones, communicate with drivers, and assist with equipment while following safety plans.

This outdoor role requires reliability and the ability to work with a team. Ideal candidates have a valid driver’s license, physical ability to stand long hours and lift up to 50 pounds, and flexibility for day, night, or weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Willing to work days, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• Traffic control or construction experience is a plus but not required.
• Flagger certification preferred or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Direct traffic safely through active work zones.
• Set up and remove signs, cones, and other traffic control devices.
• Communicate with drivers and crew members.
• Load and unload traffic control equipment.
• Help keep work zones safe and organized.
• Follow traffic control plans and safety procedures.
