The position emphasizes safety, clear communication, and outdoor endurance. Candidates should be able to travel to sites in Iowa and Nebraska, with pre-employment drug screening and a valid driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a Flagger is a plus but not required.
• Strong knowledge of traffic control procedures and safety regulations.
• Effective communication and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Must be able to travel to different job sites in Iowa and Nebraska.

Responsibilities

• Communicate clearly with drivers using hand signals and verbal commands for safe passage.
• Monitor traffic flow and adjust control measures to minimize congestion and enhance safety.
• Coordinate with construction crews on timing of road operations and disruptions.
• Observe and enforce safety regulations to protect personnel and the public.
• Report incidents or unsafe conditions to supervisors immediately.
• Participate in safety meetings and training sessions.
