Job summary

The Official at i9 Sports is a critical role on any sports field; responsible for enforcing rules while cultivating a positive culture, acting as an on-field coach, and advocating for the programs. This role has a direct impact on players, coaches, and spectators each and every game day.

Responsibilities include enforcing the i9 Sports rules, teaching core sportsmanship concepts, keeping time and score, and delivering consistently positive customer service.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills.
• Sport-specific officiating, playing or coaching experience.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently and solve problems.
• Awareness and ability to take charge to ensure players' safety.
• Positive attitude and ability to build professional relationships.
• Ability to work weekends and some evenings for the full season (~7 weeks).

Responsibilities

• Enforce the i9 Sports rules books to ensure a fun, learning, and safe environment for all players.
• Teach and demonstrate core concepts including sportsmanship values.
• Keep time and score during the game; manage age-appropriate instruction and competition.
