Job summary

Maury County Public Schools is seeking an Assistant Head Coach to support the program and help supervise student-athletes in accordance with TSSAA/TMSAA rules and district policies. The role focuses on safety, sportsmanship, and maintaining proper conduct during practices and events.

You will assist the head coach, monitor locker room safety, communicate with players and families through proper channels, and perform duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Prior coaching experience preferred
• Commitment to safety and student welfare

Responsibilities

• Assist the head coach in verifying adherence to TSSAA/TMSAA rules and school policies and report violations
• Ensure supervision of student athletes at all times; monitor locker room safety with an adult present
• Provide a safe environment focusing on prevention and care of injuries
• Perform duties assigned by the head coach
• Adhere to the administrative chain of command for student/parent inquiries
• Model respect and good sportsmanship to students and community
• Other duties as assigned
