Job summary

AirMed International in Birmingham, AL seeks a Pilot in Command for fixed-wing medevac operations. The PIC has operational control per FAR Part 135 and oversees flight safety; schedules follow a 14 days on / 14 days off cycle with 12‑hour duty periods from home.

Minimum qualifications include CE-550B PIC rating, FAA ATP, 3,000 total hours, 1,500 PIC hours and First Class Medical privileges. Related medical and relocation considerations apply.

Qualifications

• Must reside in, or be willing to relocate to Birmingham, AL.
• CE-550B PIC type rating.
• FAA ATP certificate (unrestricted).
• 3000 total flight hours.
• 1500 PIC hours.
• First Class Medical Certificate with privileges.

Responsibilities

• Complies with AirMed's general operating manual duties.
• Ensures aircraft readiness with AirMed's global operations center.
• Complies with FARs and OpSpecs.
• Disseminates flight operation information through the OC structure.
• Maintains professional conduct and rest cycles.
• Attends required training or check-flights outside normal shifts.
• Performs duties as assigned by Director of Operations or Chief Pilot.
