Job summary

Oregon State University invites applications for fixed-term, non-tenure-track instructors to teach on a term-by-term basis for the 2026-2027 academic year. Appointments may be renewed or transitioned to an instructional position at the department head's discretion.

Courses will vary term-by-term, with potential in-class, Zoom, or eCampus delivery. Ideal candidates hold MA/MS or higher in Ecological, Environmental, or Civil Engineering, with college/university teaching experience and a commitment

Qualifications

MA/MS or higher in Ecological, Environmental or Civil Engineering or related field.
Teaching experience at the college or university level.
Commitment to inclusive excellence and educational equity.
Ability to design, teach and assess courses that support inclusive learning principles and promote equitable teaching practices.

Responsibilities

Teach courses (classes will vary on a term-by-term basis, see list of classes).
Teach course in class, via zoom or on eCampus 1-5 days a week, depending on the course.
Schedule/Organize Lab courses as appropriate.
Schedule/Organize field trips, as appropriate.
Grade all assignments and homework for course.
Work with Head Advisor to collect required course documentation for accreditation.
