Job summary

MSX International in Seattle seeks a Fixed Operations Field Specialist to optimize dealer Express Service and improve throughput. You’ll assess capacity, coach dealer teams, and partner with Customer Experience to deliver a unified, measurable value.

The role is field-based and requires 3–5 years in automotive Fixed Operations, strong coaching, analytical skills, and the ability to travel up to 80% across your territory. A valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle are essential.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years in automotive Fixed Operations, with Express Service or Quick Lube background.
  • Proven ability to coach, train, and influence dealership personnel.
  • Strong analytical skills; comfortable interpreting KPIs and Repair Order data.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage extensive travel.
  • Confidence in engaging with all levels of dealership staff.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Home base within assigned territory and reliable vehicle.
  • Ability to travel up to 80% (mix of driving and flights, with overnights).
  • High school diploma or GED is required

Make a Difference

As a Fixed Operations Field Specialist, you’ll be the expert who evaluates dealership Fixed Operations holistically and pinpoints where an internal Express Service model can deliver the greatest impact.

By analyzing:

  • Current capacity and workflow

You’ll determine how Express Service can unlock additional main shop availability for customer pay and warranty work—driving higher throughput, increased sales, greater revenue, and improved customer satisfaction through reduced wait times.

  • Prior roles as Service Advisor, Express Service Consultant, or Service Manager.
  • A college degree (or are currently working toward one).
  • Background in teaching, training, or coaching.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate may not have been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At MSXi, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current annual range is $70k to $80k based on current experience.
