Job summary

Koch Fertilizer Fort Dodge, LLC is seeking a Fixed Equipment Reliability Engineer to join our reliability team in Duncombe, IA. The role emphasizes reducing fixed equipment risk through root cause analyses, RBI assessments, and collaboration with maintenance and operations to implement robust reliability programs.

The candidate will lead analyses, manage projects, and support capital initiatives while ensuring compliance with industry standards and company safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or 5+ years reliability/industrial manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of fixed equipment codes and standards such as ASME, API, NBIC.
• API 510/570/653/580/581 certifications desirable.
• Experience with analytical tools: Excel, Meridium, API RBI, PowerBI, SEEQ.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with maintenance, operations and other engineering disciplines to address equipment challenges.
• Manage workorders and small projects through all phases including front-end engineering, design, MOC, construction and commissioning.
• Lead root cause analyses to identify underlying causes of failures and recommend corrective actions.
• Collect and analyze reliability metrics to identify bad actors.
• Develop and implement reliability programs to eliminate fixed equipment threats.
• Conduct fitness-for-service (FFS) and RBI analyses to ensure compliance.
• Support capital projects related to fixed equipment, including scope development and design review.
• Serve on cross-site tech teams to ensure best practices are current.
