Qualifications

• Willingness and ability to obtain forklift, man lift, scissor lift and small crane certifications.
• Experience in a chemical processing plant or refinery is preferred.
• Maintenance experience with valves, exchangers, vessels, and conveyors.
• Welding/pipefitting experience or capability.
• Welding, Technical, or Trade School Degrees or Certifications.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot equipment such as valves, piping, and other fixed equipment within the facility.
• Repair and/or replace valves, exchangers, vessels, and conveyors.
• Weld on Carbon, Stainless Steel, and exotic metals as needed.
• Perform preventative & reactive maintenance.
• Oversee and facilitate maintenance execution work completed.

Your Job

Koch Fertilizer is seeking a Fixed Equipment Mechanic to join our Maintenance team in Enid, Oklahoma. Success in this role offers the opportunity for career advancement within all of Koch.

This position works Monday - Thursday (7:00 AM-5:30 PM) but will require Fridays when needed and will occasionally respond to callouts and work overtime as needed.

Koch Fertilizer, Enid is a leading nitrogen fertilizer manufacturing company that focuses on supplying various nitrogen fertilizer products to customers across North America.

What You Will Do

• Troubleshoot equipment such as valves, piping, and other fixed equipment within the facility
• Repair and/or replace valves, exchangers, vessels, and conveyors
• Weld on Carbon, Stainless Steel, and exotic metals as needed
• Perform preventative & reactive maintenance
• Oversee and facilitate maintenance execution work completed

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Willingness and ability to obtain forklift, man lift, scissor lift and small crane certifications

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 75 lbs from floor to waist
• Ability to lift 50 lbs from waist to crown
• Ability to push and pull up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to grip strength of 75 lbs static force
• Ability to forward bend - standing
• Ability to do low work including kneeling/squatting
• Ability to climb ladders and stairs
• Ability to work outdoors in various types of weather
• Ability to be medically approved to participate in the respiratory protection and HAZWOPER programs
• Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas

What Will Put You Ahead

• Experience working in a chemical processing plant or refinery
• Welding/pipefitting experience and capability
• Maintenance experience working in a chemical processing plant or refinery
• Maintenance experience working with valves, exchangers, vessels, and conveyors in an industrial manufacturing environment
• Welding, Technical, or Trade School Degrees or Certifications
